You Can Do It Here!
When you have a new baby and are breastfeeding, one of the most daunting issues is ‘how can I go out anywhere because I don’t know when my baby will want to feed or where I can feed her without feeling embarrassed’. So, in aid of Breastfeeding Awareness Week 2006, we compiled a list of places in the Herts North area where we personally have breastfed comfortably.
Some of these places carry a ‘Breastfeeding Welcome’ sticker in their windows but, even if there isn’t one displayed, please feel confident to feed your baby there whichever way you choose. If you are bottle feeding, just ask for a container of hot water to heat your bottle with, or take your own bottle warmer. Don’t forget, mothers with young babies are an extremely important target market for these businesses, and it makes financial sense for them to welcome you.
